Committee for Developing Countries
I Purpose
To assist developing countries and/or financially disadvantaged countries in conducting IBITA-certified courses.
To develop a budgeting procedure for financing courses in developing countries and/or enabling potential Instructor-candidates from those countries to enter and complete the training process.
To develop communication and interaction with other international organizations for the purpose of achieving the above goals 1 to 5.
II Composition
The Committee for Developing Countries will consist of three members with voting rights, elected at the Annual General Meeting. Additional members may be co-opted if deemed necessary.
The committee will elect a Chairperson from its own members.
The term of office will be three years.
A member of this committee may be re-elected, but may serve no more than two consecutive terms of office.
III Conduct
The committee will meet only as required.
The committee will submit a report to the Executive Committee midyear meeting and to the Annual General Meeting.
The committee will process recommendations for financial assistance, but the eventual granting of such assistance must be authorized by the Executive Committee after consultation of the Treasurer.
The members may, at the Annual General Meeting, recommend a maximum financial commitment for the next financial year.
