Education Committee
1. Mission
1.1. To provide the theoretical underpinning for clinical practice.
1.2. To promote continuing professional development.
1.3. To ensure the quality of course content by ongoing curriculum development.
2. Purpose
2.1. To develop and update models for clinical practice and provide the underlying theory.
2.2. To develop and monitor the process of continuing professional development.
2.3. To facilitate the continuing professional development process by making information available on the website.
2.4. To ensure the quality of the training process.
2.5. To deal with any other matters related to educational subjects that may arise.
3. Composition
3.1. The Education Committee will consist of four members with voting rights, elected at the Annual General Meeting.
Additional members may be co-opted if deemed necessary.
3.2. The committee will elect a Chairperson from its own members.
3.3. The term of office will be three years.
3.4. A member of this committee may be re-elected, but may serve no more than two consecutive terms of office.
3.5. The committee may establish a subcommittee for a specific purpose, with the agreement of the Executive Committee.
4. Conduct
4.1. The committee will meet only as required.
4.2. The committee will submit a report to the Executive Committee midyear meeting and to the Annual General Meeting.
4.3. The committee will submit a projected budget annually, as well as a statements of actual expenses incurred each year.
