Verification Committee
I Purpose
To check each year the annual accounts of the association and report its findings at the Annual General Meeting.
II Composition
The Verification Committee will consist of two full members of IBITA, elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The members of this committee should not be replaced in the same year.
The term of office will be three years.
A member of this committee may be re-elected, but may serve no more than two consecutive terms of office.
A member of this committee may not serve on the Executive Committee simultaneously.
III Conduct
The Verification Committee will meet prior to the Annual General Meeting.
Three weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting the Verification Committee will receive the bank statement(s) and the financial report from the treasurer regarding the previous year.
The Verification Committee will verify the accounts and report its findings in writing.
The report of the Verification Committee is to be handed to the secretary prior to the Annual General Meeting and will be read aloud to the members present at this meeting.
Approval of the findings of the Verification Committee by the General Meeting will relieve the treasurer and the Executive Committee of their responsibility.
